The Walters Art Museum offers staff-guided school tours in the galleries. Please complete this registration form to reserve a staff-guided tour for your school group.
Guided tours are around two hours and 15 minutes long and are inclusive of artmaking. Tours are offered on Wednesdays and Fridays at 10:00 a.m. Tours require a minimum of ten students with a maximum of 60 students. One chaperone per group of 15 students is required.
In Fall 2025 we are offering our Ancient Cultures tour theme. New themes will be available in addition starting Spring 2026.
- Ancient Cultures: (Recommended for grades 2-12) Examine artifacts that reflect the art, mythologies, culture, and daily life from around the world. This tour may include objects from our Ancient World galleries, which feature Egypt, Greece, Rome, and the Near East, as well as , and .
All school programs at the Walters are free thanks to the generosity of our visitors. Please consider a donation of $12 per student for your tour group.
The Walters is pleased to offer a limited number of bus reimbursement for Title I schools throughout the state of Maryland for partial or full bus expenses. For more information, please contact [email protected].
