About Castle Rock: Castle Rock State Park in California is a rugged 5,150-acre park known for its unique tafoni-sculpted sandstone formations, high-elevation coast redwoods, and panoramic views of the Santa Cruz Mountains and San Lorenzo Valley. It acts as a major hub for hiking and rock climbing in the Santa Cruz Mountains, offering a unique, higher-altitude forest landscape compared to its neighbor, Big Basin.
To join this group hike, all participants are required to complete a short, mandatory liability waiver.

Family Friendly: Families with children who are capable of hiking five miles are welcome on this outing, but please note the hike description above to be sure it is suited for your children. Dogs are not permitted in State Parks. Service animals are welcomed.
