Guided Geology Walk at the Hazard Reef Trail (Montana de Oro State Park)

Join a State Park Interpreter on a moderate hike down to the beach followed by an interactive geology program at Hazard Reef in Montaña de Oro State Park. Enjoy scenic ocean views while learning about local geology.
Meet at the Hazard Reef Trailhead Parking Lot at 10am on Monday, April 20 and 27, 2026. The 1-hour program will begin at the parking lot and end at the beach to encourage further tidepool exploration.
Dress in layers, wear comfortable shoes that you don't mind getting wet and bring plenty of water. Cameras and binoculars are encouraged!
