About this Event
You’re invited to an upcoming outdoor event at The ONE Center located on the beautiful South Puget Sound just outside Olympia. This Guided Forest Therapy Walk is designed to cultivate connection with oneself, others, nature and the more than human world.
Also referred to as forest bathing and Shinrin-Yoku, guided forest therapy walks are a gentle, inviting way to practice slowing down the pace of life to drop in and bathe in the beauty of nature. Through simple sensory activities we feel more grounded, connected, and nourished which helps us feel good from the inside out. This supports our health of body, mind and soul. The forest, meadow garden and Gallagher Cove at The ONE Center are especially beautiful this spring. Wild trilliums, daffodils and tulips are bursting with color and Canada geese are swimming in the Cove.
Let's breathe in the beauty of nature and take in the good medicine of community by being together on the land.
Come dressed and ready for the weather. If rain is in the forecast, wear waterproof gear so you're comfortable all throughout the experience. There are beautiful sit spots all throughout the land at ONE; in the forest, along Wonder Creek, by the Meadow Garden, and on the shore of Gallagher Cove. There are covered sit spots to keep you dry and cozy, rain or shine. We end our time together in the ethereal Cedar Sanctuary sharing tea made from gifts of the land. We hope you join us for time of slowing down the busy pace of life to pause, rest, and relax in nature.
