Join Ben Winborn from Memphis Mushroom Foragers and foraging enthusiast Myles Ray for a guided foray on Wolf River Trails to learn how identify and use wild fungi and plants for food, medicine, and more. Springtime is prime time for morel mushrooms, edible flowers, Spring greens, and dozens of other species with long histories of use. We will cover topics like foraging safely, sustainable practices, and build community while we enjoy the outdoors.
We will be meeting at the Wolf River Greenway - Shady Grove Trailhead, the address is 6324 Humphrey's Boulevard, Memphis TN 38120. The parking lot is small, but do not fear. There is plenty of parking at the hospital complex directly across the street. Just park and walk over.
This is our second year working together leading forays in the Memphis area.
