At this wild and vibrant workshop we’ll begin with refreshments and a 20-minute confidence-building session to open ourselves to imagination and creative flow and why it is OK to draw and paint OUTSIDE the lines and defy any rules you might have learned or heard about.
Remember the joy of ‘playing’ as a child: painting, drawing, experimenting, without rules, limits, or fear of mistakes? Nice right?

Abstract art is all about expression, freedom, and emotion. It’s not about perfection or representation: it’s about letting your inner world, your feelings, and your imagination flow onto the canvas, paper or where you want to put it. Through colours, shapes, textures, and layers, you can release tension, explore emotions, and rediscover the joy of creation without boundaries.
In this workshop, we’ll dive into a playful and liberating technique called “Paint Over.” Using materials like old music sheets, postcards, posters, sailing charts, photographs, or previous paintings, we’ll layer, cover, and transform them into something entirely new. This practice encourages boldness, challenges the rules of “right” and “wrong,” and gives you the freedom to explore your artistic instincts in a guided, safe, and supportive environment.
This is your chance to be wild, daring, and unapologetically creative: let’s be “mad women,” let’s be bold, but let’s do it with joy, focus, and freedom.
