About the Event
St Edmund Hall is delighted to welcome Professor Paul Skokowski (Stanford University; Fellow of St Edmund Hall) for a special talk on his new book, Sensing Qualia: Solving the Hard Problem of Consciousness.
In this talk, Professor Skokowski will explore one of the most profound questions in philosophy and cognitive science: how subjective experience—what it feels like to see colour, hear sound, or feel pain—arises from the physical processes of the brain. Drawing on philosophy, neuroscience, and physics, he presents a new approach to understanding consciousness.
The talk will be followed by a Q&A session.
