We're able to start accepting audition applications for the new season! Auditions for Youth Orchestra will take place June 6 and June 7. The time-frame for these dates will be announced soon. If you need to request a specific time and/or date for your audition, you can leave a comment at the bottom of your application form.The requirements for Youth Orchestra auditions can be found on gsyo.org/join.

For Current GSYO Members:
As was the case prior to 2023, all members for all GSYO ensembles will need to re-audition this year. We are absolutely thrilled with the musical progress we have made this year, and this is in no way a reaction to that. We have experienced a large increase in interest in the ensemble, and this is for fairness and opportunity for all.
We recognize that this is a change from past years, which had a combination of spring re-enrollment + fall auditions for new members. However, the June auditions will allow us to have the earlier retreat (avoiding conflicts) and distribute next season's music over the summer as well. The June auditions are specifically for acceptance into the 2026-2027 ensemble - seating will be worked out in the fall.
Information regarding Youth Strings and Youth Philharmonic will be sent out this summer. Our audition requirements for these ensembles are already on the website, but we will have specific details soon. Auditions are August 23rd for Youth Strings and Youth Philharmonic only.
