Grupo Falso Baiano will feature Brazilian vocalist, Catiá Lund to present wonderful instrumental Brazilan samba classics, Samba-Choros, and Bossa Nova in an evening of intimate music featuring percussion, guitar, and clarinet. From the nightclub district in Lapa of Rio de Janeiro to our own cultural heartbeat in the mission come listen to Roots Samba featuring the music of Cartola, Paulinho da Viola, Jacob do Bandolim, and muito, muito mais!

, a vocalist and musician originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, began her formal music education at the age of 10. Driven by a deep fascination with the transformative power of music, she embarked on a lifelong journey of artistic and professional development. While pursuing a degree in Music Therapy at the Brazilian Conservatory of Music, Cátia recognized that music transcends mere entertainment and artistic expression—it possesses profound healing qualities. Currently based in Oakland, California, Cátia continues to explore the intersections of music, wellness, and creative expression, sharing her passion and artistry with diverse audiences.
