About this Event
GROWTESQUE centers on our relationship to land and the mythology of perpetual economic growth—questioning what it means to flourish ecologically and socially in a time of collapse and transition. The exhibition itself serves as a platform for climate activism, not only through discourse but also through action: a portion of sales will support tactical land conservation efforts in partnership with a wildlife conservation nonprofit.
On September 23rd we welcome Deville Cohen and Nathan Dufour Oglesby to our intimate stage to discuss the virtues of Art in Climate activism, contemplate the energy economy, and the meaning of friction and materialism in the ideals of utopia as they relate to the realities of the climate crisis.
