About this Event
Do you think the current obsession with economic growth doesn’t make sense? Do you want to create an economy that meets everyone’s essential needs while respecting planetary boundaries, but you’re unsure where to start?
Growing Out of Growth is a space to reimagine the future economy and find concrete steps towards radical change. We believe that a post-capitalist society centered on human flourishing and respect for the environment is possible, and we need to build it together.
We’re bringing together activists, researchers and the local community to discuss practical ways to cultivate a new economy. Throughout the day, we’ll have:
- Interactive panels with researchers and activists for us to exchange on the best ways to change our economy
- A workshop to identify concrete actions to take in our local community
- Time to connect and exchange with other participants over delicious food and drinks.
Don’t worry, no prior knowledge of post-growth/degrowth or economics is necessary to attend and enjoy this event!
Drinks, lunch and snacks will be provided for free.
