About this Event
Join Mark and get up close with some commonly available orchids in this hands-on session. Participants will have the chance to examine live plants, understand signs of stress, and learn what needs to be done to overcome them. Whether you’re new to orchids or looking to build confidence with your collection, this interactive session will leave you with practical skills and a deeper appreciation for these remarkable plants. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
Fee: $35 General Admission, $20 Cornell Students
Location: Meet at the Nevin Welcome Center
Instructor: Mark Choo is a Master of Professional Studies student focusing on Public Garden Leadership at Cornell University. As the Assistant Curator for the National Orchid Garden at the Singapore Botanic Gardens, he co-leads a team that manages more than three thousand different orchid species and hybrids. Mark has grown orchids for more than twenty years and enjoys spending time hiking to look for flowering orchids around the world.
