Find out how easy it is to grow one of our best, low-maintenance perennials--the bearded iris-- in this free class.
About this Event
Hot, boring, late summer. What to plant?

Bearded irises! With little maintenance, these hard working plants will reward you with dramatic blooms each spring for years to come.

Here at NHG, we agree that there's really not much to do in August except two things: plant wildflowers, and bearded irises. While we really love our Texas wildflowers, we especially look forward to the arrival of the bearded iris rhizomes-- the 'bulb' that becomes the beautiful, exotic blooms on tough, heat tolerant plants that spread each year, and complement any sunny space with dynamic, pointed leaves.

Join NHG's Rusty E. Allen and learn how to select, plant, and maintain these great perennials in this free introductory class. A comprehensive presentation, with time for your questions, like: what's a bearded iris?

NOTE: THIS CLASS IS INDOORS IN OUR CLASSROOM.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED TO GUARANTEE A SEAT. As attendance is limited, we encourage you to register early and read our newly updated ticketing procedures.

IF THIS EVENT HAS SOLD OUT, we welcome you to attend if we have not reached stated capacity within 5 minutes of the program starting, and if there is still available space.
