Hub 21 is proud to host our very first Down Syndrome Awareness Exhibition, a special evening dedicated to celebrating the beautiful children and young people who are at the heart of our community.Grow. Thrive. Shine. reflects our motto and our mission — to support every child and young person with Down syndrome to reach their fullest potential. This exhibition shines a light on their faces, their stories, and their limitless possibilities.
Throughout the evening, guests will have the opportunity to:
- View a powerful visual exhibition celebrating the children and young people who avail of Hub 21’s services
- Learn more about Down syndrome and the impact of early intervention, education, and community support
- Connect with families, supporters, and members of our wider community
- Hear from Mei Lin Yap, our guest speaker.
Mei Lin was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) degree by Trinity College Dublin, becoming the first person in Ireland with an intellectual disability to receive an honorary doctorate. A proud Dublin native, Mei Lin is Ambassador Liaison Officer in Trinity College Dublin, and People Experience Administrator at Cpl Recruitment Agency. She also has Down syndrome.
This exhibition is open to everyone — families, friends, professionals, supporters, and members of the public. Whether you are familiar with Hub 21 or learning about us for the first time, we invite you to come along, celebrate with us, and see firsthand the joy, strength, and potential within our community.
