Working with groups if it is in a coaching setting like team coaching or in a therapy setting, like group psychotherapy, requires that we have an idea of how groups can develop and how we as a leader or facilitator can support this development.
During the workshop we will address several perspectives on group development and on how our function as a group leader or facilitator can change during the different stages of the group life.
The base to the approach of groups in this workshop will be the Gestalt theory and attitude, which means using a field perspective, a phenomenological approach and supporting dialogue among the group members.
We will also address possible cultural differences or phenomena how they can emerge in a multi-cultural group.
The workshop will be a mixture of practical group sessions, theoretical reflection and of course space for sharing, questions and answers.
The workshop will be lead by Frans Meulmeester, a Gestalt therapist, coach, supervisor and trainer who is working with Gestalt for about 50 years in many different countries and cultures.
The schedule for the seminar is the same on both days: We meet at 9:30 to 17:00. (lunch break from 13:00-14:30).

About Frans Meulmeester
I am working as a Gestalt trainer, therapist, coach, supervisor and consultant for more than 50 years.
I was involved as a staff member in several Gestalt institutes in several countries, like in Belgium, Bulgaria, Georgia, Lithuania, Nepal and Armenia and next to that I am a faculty member or guest trainer in many other Gestalt institutes.
As a therapist and counsellor, I was seeing clients in my private practice, and I have worked for about 25 years in a counselling centre for clients with cancer.
I am a registered member of the EAGT as therapist, GPO and supervisor and as an European Certified Psychotherapist of the EAP.
