Group Tour of Dakota Prairie Composting Facility

Compost is nature's magic for gardeners of all types! Join us for a group Tour of Dakota Prairie Composting! This is your chance to explore how composting works in a state-of-the-art commercial processing facility.

Dress to be outside in whatever weather we have that day. Please note conditions may be dirty, dusty, or muddy depending on weather conditions. Appropriate closed toe footwear is required.

The store will be open for purchases after the tour. You can pre-order for pickup that day.

• Duration of a typical tour: About one hour. Includes a 30-40-minute presentation inside and a 20-minute walking tour of the yard.
• Hard hats, safety glasses, and high-visibility vests are provided when needed.
• Please arrive on time as it keeps us on schedule for the entire day. If you are running behind schedule, please call to inform our staff.
• Filming is not allowed on the premises.
• Yard Tour: Walking tours are weather dependent.
