Group ride along cycle routes and quiet roads, perfect for beginners. All Women WelcomeJoin us for a leisurely short women's bike ride starting from Beechdale community centre, riding along quiet residential roads and cycle paths around Wollaton Park and Lakeside at Nottingham University Campus.
We welcome women of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, we ride at the pace of the slowest rider, stop for breaks whenever you want and promise you will never be alone at the back! One of us will lead, and another will stay at the back so we stick together as a group. This is the perfect chance to build confidence on a bike and meet other women.

You'll be in safe hands. We are qualified ride leaders and mechanics who love cycling. Before and during the ride we will be sharing all the tips and tricks to get the most out of cycling. We will ride around the lakes at Wollaton Park and Highfields, both of which have toilets and a cafe.
This ride is organised by Women in Tandem, a Community Interest Company based in Nottingham that aims to support and empower women to ride bikes. This ride is part of our Travel Well project in partnership with Nottingham City Council and funded by Active Travel England. All attendees will need to complete a registration survey before riding, you can save time by completing it first here , or you can use one of our devices when you meet us at the start.
You won't need anything fancy; just a bike that rides, comfortable weather-appropriate clothing, water, snacks and some enthusiasm for cycling!
