The Lake District is England’s only true mountain area. It has the most beautiful scenery in the land, with its bewitching mix of rugged mountains, deep gylls, shimmering lakes, bouncing waterfalls and attractive stone-built villages. Our solos guided walking holiday introduces you to this spectacular countryside.On this holiday though, we explore its southern area, from Lake Windermere to the coast at Morecambe Bay, less hilly but just as beautiful. We also explore the Arnside and Silverdale peninsula.
We walk on the first afternoon, then four more days. We lunch in various cafes and pubs along our walking way. This holiday is run by local guides who have a vast knowledge of this beautiful area. We stay at the Grange Hotel, Grange over Sands, close to the rail station and promenade of Grange over Sands.
Walking is moderate, some ascending and descending – low fells and deep river valleys after all, and you should be walking fit.
