✨️At the start, you will be invited to a cleansing ritual using the smoke medicine of white sage.
.
✨️We will then practice gentle and still yoga poses and breathwork to help you turn inward, release restless energy, and feel more grounded and present.
.
✨️Eve will explain and guide you on a Shamanic Journey. Journeying is a way to help you find answers and access inner wisdom through a meditative state, using the Buffalo Drum.
.
✨️After the Shamanic Journey, you are invited to write your experience in your journal and share your thoughts with the circle.
.
✨️This class offers props and plenty of modifications to support your body. Students of all levels are welcome. Please bring a water bottle, journal, and wear comfortable, layered clothing and socks to keep you cozy (natural fabric if possible). Feel free to bring your own blanket, an eye mask or eye cover, and there will be ones provided if you don’t have one. You are also invited to bring any other items from nature that you like to have around you while you journey.
Preparation: The day before the ceremony, please get a good night’s sleep and refrain from alcohol or other substances. Depending on the person, certain substances, and drugs can inhibit Shamanic Journeying.
Caution: If you have been fitted with a pacemaker or are living with epilepsy, please consult with your doctor before participating as the drumming may affect you.

✨️Please arrive 15 minutes early to get settled in, and to let Eve know if you have any medical conditions or injuries so modifications or variations can be offered.

>Eve Carty (RYT 500) has completed 500 hours of Hatha Yoga Teacher Training and is registered with Yoga Alliance. She has also completed training in Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra and is a certified Sound Healing Practitioner. She completed her Shamanic Healing program with The Medicine Circle on Salt Spring Island in September 2022.
