A grounding two-hour workshop combining Ashtanga, meditation, and pranayama to build strength, clarity, and space in both body and mind.
June Theme: Summer Solstice — Working with the Energy of the Sun
For this workshop, we’ll explore the energy of the sun — not just as something symbolic, but as something that can be felt and expressed through practice.
As we move into the longest day of the year, the body often carries a natural sense of expansion, energy, and outward movement.
In this session, we’ll work with that energy in a way that is both energising and steadying — allowing it to build through the body without becoming overwhelming.
The practice may feel less “intense” in a physical sense, but will still be deeply felt — creating heat, focus, and presence from within.
Rather than pushing, we’ll explore how energy can move through the body with clarity, breath, and control.
What We’ll Explore
In this session, Laura will guide you through:
• steady, breath-led Ashtanga-based sequences
• building internal heat and focus without force
• working with the rhythm of breath and movement
• simple pranayama techniques to regulate energy
• meditation to integrate and settle the practice
Workshop Structure (2 hours)
🧘 1 hour Ashtanga-based practice
A steady, flowing sequence designed to awaken the body and build gentle internal heat.
The focus will be on breath, rhythm, and controlled energy rather than intensity.
Laura’s precise and intuitive guidance supports safe and thoughtful progression.
🌬 1 hour Meditation & Pranayama
Simple breathing practices to regulate and balance the energy created during movement.
Followed by meditation to settle the system and create clarity and space.
👥 Small supportive group setting
The space remains calm, intimate, and attentive, allowing for personal guidance and a more connected experience.
Why this practice works
When energy is built gradually and supported by breath, it becomes easier to sustain, regulate, and integrate.
Moving from dynamic practice into pranayama and meditation allows the body to process and settle — leaving you feeling both energised and grounded.
