The Second “Grizz Fest”, Sunday, April 19th Avon Theater, Avondale Estates, Ga This is a non-profit memorial concert paying homage to the late Kevin “The Grizz” Meaders, Danny Simmons, and Jay Mecredy. Meaders played a vital role in Atlanta’s underground music scene as both a performer and behind the scenes. Just like the first show, Grizz Fest. II promises to bring family, bands, and friends together to help raise money for Music On Main, Lilburn, Ga. Summer Kids Music Camp.
“Grizz” touched a whole generation of Atlanta musicians and fans by doing what he loved most – sound engineering, guiding careers, and making tons of friends along the way,” said Meaders’ old friend Bob Fortin, who is also co-producing Grizz Fest along with Ken Davidson. “We want to celebrate our friend’s life by emulating his super eclectic natural genius” Ken Davidson said.
Performing are: Members of The Grapes, Robert Page w/ Urban Shakedancers, Deadcetera, Token Rhyme, Deep Blue Sun, Mikail Peterson & Friends, Trina Mead & Co. w/ Donna Hopkins, Ralph Roddenbery, and Mikal K. Musician at large Trey Miller with surprise guests. Grizz Fest will raise funds for The Summer Music Camp.
