Take part in the inaugural GRiT 7K Trail Run on the brand new (AMAZING) Gans Creek Trail on Saturday, January 10, 2026! This 7K (4.3 mile) course will take you through the Gans Creek Recreation Area along trees, prairies, ponds, and adjacent to the nationally renowned Gans Creek Cross Country course. You don’t want to miss this experience! The race will start and finish at the trailhead shelter directly across from Father Tolton HS. All participants will receive chip timing, a finisher item (TBD), post-race food, and eligibility to earn age-group awards. Unique, handcrafted awards are given to the overall top male and female finishers as well as the top 3 males and females in each age group (19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over).

Weather Policy: In the event of inclement weather or unsafe trail conditions, the event will be postponed to January 24, 2026.

4:30-6 p.m.: Packet Pick-up at the ARC, 1701 W. Ash
Saturday, January 10, 2026:
7:45-8:50 a.m.: Packet Pick-up and Race Day Registration at Gans Creek Recreation Area
9 a.m.: Race begins
9:30 a.m.: Post-race food available
10:15 a.m.: Awards
11 a.m.: Course closes
