First Grip Event of 2026 – AutoX at Drake FieldWe’re kicking off the 2026 season with our first Grip event of the year at Drake Field.
We wrapped up the 2025 season with nearly 70 drivers, and we’ve got a lot planned for 2026—so this is the one you’ll want to be at.
If you’re new to AutoX, this is a great place to start. Almost any car can run. It’s just you against the clock—no door-to-door racing, no pressure. Run at your own pace, learn the course, and get help from experienced drivers who are happy to show you the ropes.
Driver Info:
• Registration closes March 18 – sign up early, this will fill up
• Driver registration: $60 (includes gate fee)
• Driver gates open: 7:00 AM
• Check-in deadline: 9:00 AM at the main tent
• Drivers’ meeting: 9:00 AM
• First runs: approx. 9:30 AM

Spectator Info:
• Gate fee: $5 per adult (cash only)
• Kids 12 & under: Free
Site Rules & Reminders:
• This is an active airport—all pop-ups and umbrellas must be securely tied down
• Please dispose of all trash properly (garbage cans will be available)
• Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash at all times
• Bring your own chair and plan to hang out for the day
• Come out, drive, watch, or just soak it in. See you at Drake Field.
