Name: Griffy Tree ID Hike

Led by a Naturalist, this hike invites participants to deepen their connection with the environment by learning to identify a diverse array of trees along a section of the new Griffy Lake Loop Trail. We will discuss how to identify trees based on leaf shape, bark appearance, and branching pattern. Field guides and dichotomous charts will be provided for the duration of the hike, with an explanation on how to best use them. Bring drinking water and wear comfortable footwear for this moderate hike on all natural surface trails.
Participants will meet at the Griffy Dam parking lot.
For ALL ages. Children under 12 need to be accompanied by a registered adult.
