About this Event

Does it feel like you’re often carrying your grief by yourself? Join us for a grief walk to connect to your grief, and find community.

We all need to grieve our big griefs and small griefs. We need space, community, culture and time to reflect, and restore.

Grief can feel heavy and can be a solitary experience. Join grief guides/experts Roshni Kavate and Charlene Lam for a unique walk through Chinatown as we find connection, culture and comfort. In a small group setting, we will spend our time together exploring the cultural and culinary highlights of Chinatown to connect to joy, pleasure and meaning.

Feel free to bring a meaningful object to carry along on our collective grief walk – for instance, an item that belonged to a loved one or that reminds you of them. There will be an opportunity to share your object and its story, if you so desire, in an activity facilitated by Charlene of The Grief Gallery.

Includes a guided walk, facilitation and a snack.

Sample Itinerary:

Start at Pear River Mart, visit the current food photography art exhibit

Walk through China Town, stop at a Bakery for a bun

Finish at Yu and Me Bookstore, 44 Mulberry St, New York, NY 10013, United States
