About this Event
Join us for a safe and inviting session where we'll explore grief in our lives and learn effective coping strategies. Through journaling, meditation, and yoga, we'll find healthy ways to process and release emotions. Come as you are and discover tools to navigate difficult feelings in a supportive environment. All individuals, regardless of gender identity, are warmly invited to participate.
We'll begin by exploring our grief through a guided introspective exercise. You'll then take a few moments to reflect and journal about your intention. After that, we'll move into a guided meditation aimed at releasing stored grief from our bodies. Then, we'll transition into restorative Yin yoga poses to further release that stored energy. Yin yoga is a slow paced, restorative type of yoga that helps us slow down enough to truly listen to the messages that the body is trying to send us. We'll end with group discussion and a meditation of gratitude. (sharing is optional in the group discussion, it's ok to just listen!)
Please bring with you a yoga mat, blanket, journal and a pen. If you don't have these items, we'll have them to borrow.
