About this Event
Grief-in-Public Day Happening Again In London, Ontario! On Sunday, April 26th, we’ll be gathering at Springbank Park from 1:00–3:00pm for something a little different and deeply needed.
This event is inspired by an initiative that began in the U.S. in 2022 to normalize, honour, and support grief in public spaces, because so many of us are carrying grief silently.Grief-in-Public Day is a free, drop-in event that welcomes people of all ages and all types of grief to come as they are. Whether you’re carrying a recent loss, old sorrow, or the quiet ache of change. No pressure, no expectations. Just space to be.
Activities are designed for all ages and all forms of grief. There will be gentle, grief-informed stations for reflection, creativity, connection, and comfort. You’re welcome to talk, sit in silence, write a note, take a breath, or be witnessed by someone who truly understands.
Let’s gather in a way that makes room for truth, connection, and maybe even a little peace.Everything is free.
If you are a grief worker, death worker or someone who would like to help with the organizing and promotion of this event, please reach out.
