Gregory Alan Isakov’s legion of fans first fell in love with the Johannesburg-born balladeer’s spare, soul-stirring songwriting. In this special evening accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra, songs like “Miles to Go,” “Liars,” “Big Black Car,” and “Amsterdam” expand into sweeping soundscapes—lush, cinematic, and deeply intimate. Isakov’s most recent album, Appaloosa Bones, showcases his gift for transforming simple, poetic verses into expansive musical moments. When he isn’t touring, Isakov runs a farm in his hometown of Boulder, CO, which provides produce to CSA members, restaurants, and a local food bank.
