WCCA is excited to be presenting Greg Piccolo and his band.
Greg Piccolo has a legendry career spanning over 60 years. He continues to captivate audiences with timeless performances and unmatched artistry. A lifelong performer he’s never shied away from creating an engaging experience for his fans, ensuring that each show is as unique as it is memorable, spontaneous, with no set list, he’s driven by his mood and the energy of the moment. His unwavering commitment and skillful tenor saxophone playing, unique vocal style, and charismatic stage presence have earned him a respected place among the best in the industry. Greg Piccolo was recently nominated for the Blues Music Award. His up-coming release, "Who Knows What the Future Holds" will be released June 19th, from this work there just might be some new songs performed! Greg has collaborated with Pat Benatar, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmie Vaughan- including a multi-year stint with the "Tilt-A-Whirl" Band, Eric Clapton, and Big Joe Turner, among many others. Joining Greg on stage will be Shinichi Otsu (Organ/Piano/Bass) who has performed with Piccolo for 27 years and special guests Bobby Ruggiero on (Drums) Ruggiero was a longtime drummer for Van Morrison, he has also played with Natalie Cole, Tom Jones, and Eric Clapton amongst others. And Mike Williams (Guitar). Williams has opened for George Thorogood, Johnny Lang, Eric Clapton and others. This show will be an unforgettable night of exceptional traditional jazz, flavored with blues, classic Rhythm & Blues along with a smidgen of Rock & Roll. Come and experience the magic of Greg Piccolo and friends. This is the Sixth and final concert of the WCCA 77th Six Concert series.
