The Montgomery Art Center and Landmarks Foundation of Montgomery invite all students k-12 to participate in the 1st annual greeting card contest.
The Annual greeting Card Contest will begin on Monday, October 30, and end on Friday, November 17. Prizes will be awarded in each grade, and an overall grand prize will be awarded. The contest is open to all students K-12 attending schools inside the Montgomery city limits – public, private, home school, DOD.
Winners will be announced at a special reception as part of Christmas on Madison event Saturday, December 2nd, at the MAC at 11am. Winning cards will be displayed in the Montgomery Art Center throughout the month of December.
RULES:
One entry per child.
Entry must be the original work of the child entering.
The child’s name, age, school, homeroom teacher, and grade must be placed on the back of the card.
Class Projects Welcomed.
All cards without this information will be disqualified.
The card should be no larger than 8 ½” x 5 ½” and should not contain any items that might become unattached, such as sequins, cotton balls, chalk, etc. Painted or hand drawn cards are recommended so they may be reproduced as greeting cards.
The cards may be turned in at schools or at the Montgomery Art Center, 450 N. Hull Street by Friday, November 17th.
