👶🩺 Welcome to Babysitting Basics Course! 🧸✨
Ready to become a confident, capable, and certified babysitter? Our Babysitting Basics Course is designed to give future babysitters the skills, knowledge, and hands-on training they need to safely care for children and launch their babysitting journey with confidence.
This interactive course combines safety training, childcare essentials, and real-world babysitting tips to prepare attendees for success from day one!
✨ Participants will learn:
- ❤️ CPR, First Aid, and AED certification training
- 👶 Ages and stages of child development
- 🍼 Proper diapering and infant care basics
- 🍎 Healthy nutrition and snack safety for children
- 🚨 How to handle emergencies and difficult situations calmly and responsibly
- 🎨 Fun ways to keep children engaged and entertained
- 📣 How to advertise and grow their babysitting services professionally
👜 Each attendee will leave with their very own Babysitter’s Bag filled with helpful tools and supplies to prepare them for their first babysitting job!
This course is perfect for teens and future babysitters who want to build confidence, gain valuable certifications, and learn the skills families are looking for in a trusted sitter.

Refund statement: Full payment is due upon registration. No refunds will be issued within three weeks of the start of the event.
Membership requirement: Current 4-H membership in is required for participation in this event.
Custodial Care:Youth must be approved, enrolled members in 4HOnline with South Carolina 4-H Youth Development to attend this event. This is a custodial care event. Only adult chaperones and invited facilitators approved to be at the event will be allowed onsite during this event. Youth must be signed in and signed out by a parent/guardian or designated representative.
