Greentown Grows Garden Work Event - May 16, 2026

Join us for a hands-on garden work event as we plant the season’s crops and bring the garden to life! Volunteers will help prepare beds, plant seedlings, and sow seeds—no experience needed, just a willingness to dig in and grow with us.

Please bring work gloves, water, and dress for the weather.
Unless it is storming, pouring rain, or snowing, the event is on. If the event needs to be canceled, an email will be sent by 8 am.
To find the garden, go to the intersection of Metropolitan Ave. and York House Rd. in Waukegan. Turn off York House at the Waukegan BMX sign. The garden is located at the end of the parking lot in front of the BMX track. Please click here for a map.
