About this Event
Greener Manchester - Equitable Lines?
Join us as we explore how the focus of the recent Cyan Lines initiative can connect with the inspiring people, places and projects already caring for land, water and neighbourhoods across Stockport and Manchester and Greater Manchester.
Hosted at What If? - an ideas collective and resilience hub in Stockport run by An Actions Common CIC and convened with Common Good - a passionate group of people working in the built environment across the North of England who see a need to challenge current systems for developing our towns and cities.
Using Cyan Lines as a timely and high profile prompt, the event will explore themes of equity and stewardship.
We will hear from local people already active in the green and blue movement, as well as representation from the Cyan Lines team. More details to be announced soon!
Together we'll showcase activity, ask questions, gently challenge and make suggestions - useful, practical, hopeful and rooted in everyday community action.
Gardening Action Afternoon
Join us before the main event to get your hands dirty and meet some like minded earth activists!
An Actions Common will will be hosting a seed swap at What if? - sowing seeds for our 'Car Park To Food Park' community project and chatting about what environmental and community activism means to each of us.
feel free to bring leftover seeds from last year to help build up our resilient seed library at What If? and find something new to grow for your own windowsill, balcony, garden.
If you don't have any or have never planted a seed, no problem, plant with us and take something home with you to grow in your own home.
