The minibus will be running as usual for anybody who wishes to get a lift from the Lido car park (The Rye, High Wycombe). The bus will leave at 10am promptly.
We will be working at Castlefield Woods. We will meet on site at 10:15am. We will meet at the kissing gate, located in the layby on New Road, almost opposite New Road Close. Free parking is available on Bookerhill Road nearby. Parking is available in the layby, but please ensure there is space for Chiltern Rangers vehicles before taking these spaces. Please can we ask everyone to arrive on time to ensure you do not miss the health & safety and task briefing. If you are late and the session has already started, you may not be able to join. Thank you.

The Task:
Help us to clear litter from this woodland and make it a more welcoming place for wildlife and people! We will also be thinning the trees to allow more light through to the woodland floor. Suitable for everyone, come and say hello!
Timings (please note these timings are approximate):
10.00: Minibus departs from the Lido
10.15: Arrival on site for safety briefing, please don't be late!
11.30: Tea & coffee break
13.00: Hometime, thanks for all of your hard work! Minibus arrives back at the Lido.
What to bring:
Please bring your gloves (we will have spares) and dress for the weather and the task.
Long trousers are advisable as there may be ticks and thorny vegetation. We also recommend wearing steel toe capped or sturdy boots rather than trainers.
Wear layers that you can remove if you get hot whilst working. Bring a waterproof as most of our sites have no shelter from the rain. If it's sunny you might need a hat and suncream.
Please bring plenty of fluids. We will bring a tea kit and biscuits.
Please note:
Biscuits are served at all Chiltern Rangers sessions. Please advise if you have an allergy.
Sometimes there is a need for us to use power tools that can be noisy.
