As a community, we share the responsibility for the well-being of our children. BrightenUp St Lukes Primary and Nursery School as part of our Green Schools project!
St. Luke’s Primary and Nursery School is a Church of England school located in Canning Town. Deeply rooted in the local community, the school values the diversity of its pupils and staff. The outdoor areas are thoughtfully arranged in distinct segments, featuring grapevines, olive trees, apple trees, and other varieties—six types in total—qualifying the space as a Forest School.
The school hopes that, with the support of volunteers, these outdoor spaces can be restored and maintained to provide more opportunities for outdoor learning and activities, while ensuring a safe environment for its pupils.
Volunteers will support seasonal maintenance and the long-term transformation of the outdoor learning space. Tasks may include restoring flower beds and clearing weeds, improving soil beds and assisting with seasonal planting and forest school space upkeep These efforts help make the outdoor environment safe, interactive, and inspiring for the students.
All tools and gloves will be provided.
Volunteers must be 18+ unless accompanied by an adult.
