As we bring 2025 to a close, we're already getting ready for next year. This year saw an unprecedented run for local office and next year should bring even more people realizing that the status quo is not only not working, but actually dangerous to allow to continue. So here's what's coming up:The Green Party of Monroe County is going back to in person monthly meetings. But this time we're putting a different twist on it. Our meetings will be held on Saturdays at various public libraries around Monroe County. At these meetings we will give folks a quick primer on what the Green Party is and where we could be going - with your participation. The first 2 meetings are already scheduled:
Saturday, January 17th, Noon - 2pm
Lincoln Branch Library
851 Joseph Avenue
Rochester, New York 14621
THEN
Saturday, February 21st, Noon - 2pm
Lyell Branch Library
956 Lyell Avenue
Rochester, NY 14606
If you're able to, bring any non-perishable food items you would like distributed to food stands around the County.
If you know how the Green Party operates, you know we don't just recruit and run candidates for office. We are activists. And while the election from 2025 is over, that doesn't mean that the issues that Dave Sutliff-Atias ran for Rochester City Council on are now being ignored. Stay tuned to your email, the Green Party's website or even Dave's website and social media for news about a public utility, cooperative businesses and more. Things are in the works.
And if you want to join in on creating systemic change in our community but can't wait until January 17th reach out to us by emailing us at [email protected].
