Autonomous mowers in the landscape- Dr. Paul Bartley, Auburn University
- Modern technology is transforming landscape maintenance through robotics and automation. Autonomous mowers are efficient and precise, using GPS, sensors, and artificial intelligence to navigate lawns, avoid obstacles, and maintain consistent cutting patterns without human supervision. Real-world applications in residential and commercial will be shared, demonstrating how autonomous mowers can save time, reduce labor costs, and support sustainable land management practices.
W**d management in greenhouses and nurseries - Dr. Chris Marble, University of Florida
- This presentation will provide an overview of how to manage difficult-to-control weeds in production nurseries. Development of Pre- and Postemergence rotations, nonchemical, and integrated management strategies will be covered for the most common weeds in the southeastern U.S. In each case, research will be shared that shows how attendees can get best results in the most effective, economical, and environmentally friendly manner possible.
