Green Friday hike at Castle Rock State Park

Looking to walk off some of that cranberry sauce? Come on up to the skyline!

Join Mujtaba, one of our experienced interpretive docents, for a tour of the largest sandstone outcropping in the park- our namesake of Castle Rock, an impressive 60-foot formation that is truly something to be thankful for!

Please be advised, this is a moderately-graded, 1.5 mile hike. Bring closed-toe shoes, weather appropriate clothing, plenty of water, snacks, and a camera (if that’s your thing!) Meet at the Kirkwood Entrance, near the office. Vehicle day-use fee is $10, program is free. We will cancel in the event of significant rain or wind.
