Let's have fun and learn how to make famous and delicious Greek Spanakopita (spinach pie), Tiropita (cheese puff), and Bakalava (sweet).
About this Event

Spanakopita, Tiropita, and Baklava are one of the famous Greek pies that are made with phyllo dough. A light crispy phyllo dough fills with different fillings in different shapes. In this online interactive class, we'll make Spanakopita (spinach pie), Tiropita (cheese puff), and Baklava (sweet nut pastry). These addictive Greek pies will be a great full course meal. We'll follow the following steps in class:

- We’ll start with preparing three different fillings.

- We'll assemble the pies and bake.

While the pies are baking, we'll talk about different creative fillings you can use and how to store and keep the pies.

This class is vegetarian (contains cheese, egg, and butter) and has no options for vegan.

Class schedule: Tuesday, March 18 from 8:30-10:30pm Eastern Time Zone. Please check the time on the Eventbrite as the Eventbrite time shows your actual local time zone. This class will be online via Zoom. The class will not be recorded. The price is per screen.

You will receive the ingredient and equipment list in the registration confirmation email. Please scroll down to the bottom of the email to see the details. We will send out a complete recipe packet and a Zoom link 6 days before the class starts. No refund will be given after the recipe packet is sent out.

Who Teaches the Class?

Ploy Khunisorn

Ploy Khunisorn is a native of Thailand. She went to Suan Dusit International Culinary School while she was working as a financial analyst in Bangkok. She came to the USA to do Master’s Degree in Sustainability at Harvard University and Master’s Degree in Education at Cambridge College. She started teaching both in-person and online cooking classes since 2014. With her love of traveling over 30 countries, she has learned varieties of cuisine around the world. In her 8+ years of teaching experience, Ploy has taught over 5,000 students to cook and bake Asian cuisines, vegan food, gluten free diets, pastries, and more. She also teaches in-person cooking classes for adult community education in the Greater Boston area.
