About the Memorial Day concert: Originally started as a small initiative. It was originally held at a home in Maryland, and for several years, it continued to be organized this way. However, because it was such a success, it quickly became a popular event for Indian classical music lovers in the greater DC Metro, bringing in an audience of 200-300. It even received coverage from the Washington Post and NPR. It was discontinued for a few years, due to COVID and other reasons, but by popular demand it was revived in 2023, with the support of local musicians and music lovers in the community.
