Ulises Larramendit- (Main Character – Vic)
Angelia Sweet Greaten (Main Character – Michelle)
We Are Stronger is a faith-based drama film that focuses on the struggles of a military veteran dealing with PTSD after returning from deployment. The story centers on Master Sergeant Victor "Vic" Raphael (played by Ulises Larramendi), a career soldier nearing the end of his 20-year Army service. During his final deployment in Afghanistan, an explosion leaves him seriously injured and deeply traumatized. He witnesses the death of a close friend and comrade, leading to overwhelming guilt and unaddressed symptoms of PTSD. Back home, Vic is withdrawn, uncommunicative, and in denial about his condition. He refuses help, resists counseling, and struggles to readjust to civilian life. This strains his marriage to his wife, Michelle (Angela Sweet Greaten), who supports him but feels helpless and sometimes turns to others for emotional comfort in unhealthy ways. The film explores Vic's physical and emotional recovery, his efforts to reclaim his relationship, and his gradual realization that he cannot heal alone—emphasizing themes of faith, community, and reliance on God and support networks. Based in part on true stories, the movie highlights the broader impacts of PTSD on veterans and their families, portraying a journey toward hope, healing, and reconciliation through Christian faith.
