The Keep America Beautiful "Great American Cleanup" Day is the nation’s largest community improvement program, which takes place annually during the spring in over 15,000 communities nationwide.
The Fountain Creek Watershed District in southern Colorado will conduct this 1-day trash/litter cleanup with local governments, nonprofits, youth groups, families, teams and neighborhoods. FCWD is dedicated to fostering a sense of environmental responsibility and community pride, and inspiring action to enhance the health and vitality of our local watershed. Join in to celebrate Colorado's 150th Anniversary of statehood by getting outside and making a difference.
Register as a crew leader or crew member, recruit others, and choose a designated site in Pueblo, CO or many other sites available from Monument, CO to Colorado Springs. Kayakers are needed at Runyon Lake to clean shorelines that are not accessible on foot.
Safety training, some equipment and supplies, and prizes are provided.
