About this Event
It’s a Gratitude Group Field Trip =)
The D Line extension just opened (5/8/2026); one of the new stops is at Wilshire/Fairfax, directly across the street from Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Also, at LACMA, the new David Geffen Galleries just opened (5/4/2026). The new David Geffen wing is a massive 110,000-square-foot building. This sprawling glass-and-concrete gallery extension took six years to complete, cost $720 million, and features 2,500–3,000 new (& ancient) works.
I will cover the first 8 RSVPs’ admission into LACMA (but you MUST ride the D Line from Union Station with us for the comped admission). There’s a separate RSVP/ticket option for the 8 comped tickets.
Everyone else can still meet us at Union Station to ride the D Line with us, or you can meet us directly at LACMA at 11:00am.
Parking at Union Station’s “East Garage” is only $8 for the day. We’ll be meeting at the Robeks inside Union Station at 10:00am, so feel free to grab a smoothie, juice, or acai bowl. Starbucks is also nearby. We will be departing via the D Line at 10:30am sharp.
We’ll be spending just under two hours in the new galleries at LACMA for an afternoon of art, connection, mindfulness, and intentional exploration.
Along the way, we’ll incorporate a simple reflective/mindfulness art-viewing exercise designed to help us slow down and engage more deeply with the experience.
No art knowledge required; just curiosity =)
