About the Course
Soluble graphite combines the precision of a pencil with the fluidity of a brush. This course explores how to use this water-reactive medium to achieve painterly effects and faster shading. You’ll also learn to blend graphite with pigments to create a timeless, vintage look in your artwork.
What will participants learn:
1. Understanding what is soluble graphite
2. Tonal and value studies
3. Basic painting techniques similar to watercolour
4. How to translate photo reference to an art piece

5. 100% cotton coldpressed watercolour paper
COURSE FEE:
$290.00 per person
$58 for seniors eligible for National Silver Academy (NSA) subsidy
National Silver Academy
- NSA subsidy is for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents aged 50 and above.
SkillsFuture Credit
- In addition to NSA subsidy, course fee may be offset by SkillsFuture Credit (SFC).
- All tickets purchased with the intent to use SkillsFuture Credit to offset the course fee will be subject to a non-refundable $20 administrative fee.
Notes:
- Course payments are non-refundable, non-transferable.
- There are NO make-ups if you miss any of the art course sessions.
- Missing a session does not disqualify you from taking part in the course - the trainer is not obligated to recap what was missed.
- Brahm Centre reserves the right to replan the course should the trainer be unable to conduct the class due to unforeseen circumstances.
- By purchasing a ticket you are consenting to the use of photos and/or videos taken during activities for records and promotional purposes.
- Please note that there is no elevator at Labrador venue, and access is via stairs only.
Trainer Bio:
Geri Koh is a full-time artist, art teacher, and former graphic designer. Drawing on her design background for strong art fundamentals, she creates commissioned pieces and exhibits her work in art shows. An award-winning artist, Geri is dedicated to teaching students of all ages.

HOW? Do I begin the process of using my SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) to pay for course fees:
Step 1 (on Skillsfuture Website): Check your SkillsFuture credit balance.
Log into your SkillsFuture Portal to confirm you have sufficient SkillsFuture Credit balance (Take note: $4K SkillsFuture Career Transition Credits CANNOT be used for Brahm Centre courses).

Step 2 (on Eventbrite Website): Securing your ticket.
On Eventbrite, search for the course you are interested in.

Step 3 (on Eventbrite Website): Select correct ticket type & complete registration.
Select the intended Ticket Type (either NSA+SkillsFuture or Individual+SkillsFuture) and complete your registration. Upon successful registration, you will receive a confirmation e-mail containing information about the course.
Save/Screenshot the confirmation. (you will use this in the following steps)
Step 4 (on Skillsfuture Website): Submit your SkillsFuture claim.
Go back to the SkillsFuture Portal to submit a claim under 'E-Services'.

Please submit your SkillsFuture credit claim 60 days BEFORE the course commencement, for it to be valid. Deadline to submit SFC Claim is one week prior to course commencement.
Step 5 (on Skillsfuture Website):
If your SFC submission was completed successfully, the status of your submission would reflect as "PENDING".
Your registration is confirmed after your SkillsFuture claim status reflect as "APPROVED".
*Should you choose to cancel your SFC claim before the start date, Brahm Centre reserves the right to impose a penalty fee for course withdrawal.
