powerful intersection of comics & healthcare
About this Event
Graphic Medicine Ireland: Inaugural Meeting – You’re Invited!
Join us for the launch of Graphic Medicine Ireland, a new and exciting initiative exploring the powerful intersection of comics and healthcare. Building on the success of the Graphic Medicine Conference in Ireland in 2024 we are now organising a national chapter.
Graphic Medicine is an emerging international discipline that uses comics to tell health stories, enrich education, and deepen understanding of illness, care, and wellbeing. This inaugural event marks the beginning of an Irish-based collective committed to supporting and advancing this work at home and abroad.
Be part of the conversation from the very start.
Hear from leading voices in the field, including Jane Burns, Ian Williams, and Matthew Kelly, as they introduce graphic medicine and share how comics are transforming health communication, education, and practice.
Everyone is welcome, whether you come from healthcare, education, the arts, research, or simply have a curiosity about visual storytelling and health. Spaces are limited, so early registration is strongly recommended.
