About this Event
This day event organised by the Mothers’ Union, in partnership with the Diocesan Growing Younger Team is designed to bring together grandparents of faith (from little faith to strong faith) and of any denomination. So that through a programme to include worship, key speakers and small group workshops, participants will feel supported and encouraged and see ways to make a spiritual difference in their family situations.
The ground floor venue is fully accessible
A large on site car park with disabled car parking.
Programme for Grandparent Day
Doors Open: 10am For registration and refreshments
10.30am: Worship. Led by Rev Catherine Forsdike, Mothers’ Union Diocesan Chaplain
10.50 am ‘Grandparents of faith’ Rev Laura Mumford Lead of the Growing Younger Team
11.30am ‘Grandparenting faith to children, teenagers and young adults’ Panel presentation from members of the Growing Younger Team
Lunch break 12.10pm – 12.50pm
12.50pm First Workshop
13.30pm Second Workshop
14.15pm Closing time of prayer Led by Jeanette Appleton Diocesan President Mothers’ Union
Workshop options for delegate to choose from:-
· Small group discussion exploring themes from the ‘Grandparents of Faith’ keynote talk: Rev Laura Mumford
· Prayer based reflection based on two paintings: Led by Richard Appleton Mothers’ Union
· Mindful craft activities to share with grandchildren. Led By Cathie McGregor Mothers'

Coffee, tea and biscuits are provided, but please bring your own pack lunch.
The Mothers’ Union pop up stall will be open throughout the day, featuring many resources to support grandparents for participants to purchase.
