Michigan’s only professional classical ballet company, Grand Rapids Ballet returns to Meijer Gardens in a program for all ages that celebrates a variety of repertoire, ranging from classical to contemporary. The first half of the program will show off their international roster of dancers in short works by Artistic Director James Sofranko, Penny Saunders and Dani Rowe. The second half presents “In The Countenance of Kings,” by resident choreographer of New York City Ballet Justin Peck, with music by Michigan native Sufjan Stevens.Gates open at 5:00PM
About Tuesday Evening Music Club:
Quickly becoming the summer’s best family entertainment value, Tuesday Evening Music Club brings talented local and regional musicians and cultural organizations to the Frederik Meijer Gardens Amphitheater stage on Tuesday evenings in June, July, and August! Tickets are free for members and included with general admission for nonmembers.
Tickets are available on performance day at the Daniel and Pamella DeVos Ticketing Center in the Meijer Gardens Welcome Center, starting at 9 am, and at the Frederik Meijer Gardens Amphitheater Box Office, starting at 5 pm. Tickets are good for admission to Meijer Gardens as well as that Tuesday evening’s performance.
