Join us for the grand opening weekend of our local makers pop-up shop in downtown Langley on Saturday, Nov 22 & Sunday, Nov 23, from 10 am to 6 pm both days. We'll have live demos, hot beverages, interactive kids' art, plus a chance to meet some of the makers in the shop! The pop up is at 225 Anthes Ave, Langley, across the street from the Langley Chamber of Commerce building. Hosted by Golden Ginkgo Studio and Ritual Mischief Botanicals, the pop-up shop features wares made by local women, members of the BIPOC community, and queer artists, including:
Golden Ginkgo Studio (Jane) - hand-thrown and carved ceramics, luminarias, mid-century modern mugs, bowls, and more
Ritual Mischief Botanicals (Mariah & Serena) - Whidbey Island-grown, plant-infused body care including lip balms, lotion bars, body butters, herbal salves, and soaps
TerraStoria (Britta) - Naturally dyed scarves, rusty metal imprints (onion peel, avo pits, indigo), earrings (metal & some with gemstones), and wrapped & woven quartz & petrified woods (hand cut)
Clovey T. Pottery - Functional tableware with a sculptural twist including soda fired ceramics (outdoor kiln, uses propane to get up to temp, then injects sodium carbonate - baking soda - Soda creates its own glaze), ornaments (ball and flat), mugs, teapot, vases, & bowls
Tamara Studios - Hand-built & hand-painted ceramics with whimsical and elementary school teacher vibes
Kiln Candy (Hannah) - tiny vases, earrings and necklaces. This talented young artist makes tiny things, throws pottery on tiny wheel (2-3” wide), uses tiny tools (brushes, dental tools) to get shape, and makes masters this way and casts products from her masters.
AJane Studio (Arianne) - Glass art, jewelry (necklaces), coasters, and ornaments. Casts sculpted & polished multiple kilns for different processes.
Odd Birdy (Sam) - Prints, cards, calendars, and tiny round originals. Uses wood burning/etching & then paints in the colors.
Wild Boo (R.E.) - Giclee prints, collages, stickers. Photographer.
Whidbey Island Honey and Fainting Goat Farms (Marie) - Gifts from their farm on Coles Rd including their own honey, honey sticks, and beeswax items.
