Join us for the official Grand Opening of the LaShauna Matthews Center, a powerful new nonprofit dedicated to ending racism and discrimination in health care and protecting patients—especially Black, ably different, and marginalized communities—from preventable harm.

? Why the LaShauna Matthews Center Exists
The LaShauna Matthews Center was founded in response to the tragic and preventable loss of LaShauna Matthews due to systemic failures, bias, and discrimination within the health care system. Her story is not unique—and that is exactly why this Center exists.
We are here to:
- Advocate for patients and families navigating unjust treatment
- Educate providers and institutions on bias, accountability, and equity
- Reform hospital policies and practices
- Elevate community voices and demand systemic change
- Advance laws and protections that save lives
