Join Us for Service Saturday: A Day of Community & Helping Our Older Neighbors!Looking for a meaningful way to give back this fall? Gather your friends, family, coworkers, or come solo and make a difference with A Little Help's Service Saturday! Volunteers across Colorado will unite to assist older adults with yard work and seasonal tasks—helping to build stronger connections within our communities.
What to Expect:
Group Volunteering: Perfect for families, school clubs, sports teams, or friends—groups of six or fewer are recommended.
Individual Volunteering: Sign up solo, and we’ll connect you with a group to work with!
Choose Your Home: Select your project home(s) from a map provided before the event.
Transportation: Volunteers are responsible for their own transportation to the homes.
Event Schedule:
9:00 AM | Volunteer Check-In
Meet at First Presbyterian Church Parking Lot (3940 27 1/2 Road, Grand Junction) for check-in, tool pick-up, and project updates,
with coffee and treats provided.
9:30 AM - 1:00 PM | Yard Work
Spend 2-3 hours working at your designated home, tackling yard tasks while connecting with the older adult you're helping.
11:30 AM - 2:00 PM | Check-Out & Celebration
Return tools and join us at our Celebration of Service at the Ale House (2531 North 12th Street, Grand Junction) for food, drinks, and socializing! To show our appreciation, each group will receive a gift card to help cover the bill.
